The 5 Values of NatureFarm

3D illustration of the smart dairy complex layout — First

First

The first smart livestock complex built in Korea

First

NatureFarm is Korea's very first smart dairy complex, built under the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs' Smart Livestock ICT pilot program. It is the first realization in Korea of a "complex-type" model, in which several dairy farms once facing closure came together in one place to operate jointly on the basis of ICT and data. It is leading the way forward for a Korean dairy industry in crisis.

Two dairy cows fitted with smart sensors — Biggest

Biggest

The largest herd size in Korea for a single farm

Biggest

Designed to raise 1,000 milking cows, it is the largest single farm in Korea. Considering that the average Korean farm raises about 50 milking cows, this is roughly 20 times the size of an ordinary farm. By achieving this scale, NatureFarm realizes economies of scale — cutting costs while raising efficiency.

Several cartons of raw milk lined up — Most

Most

Korea's highest milk output — over 10,000 tons a year

Most

NatureFarm can produce up to 32 tons of raw milk per day — equivalent to about 84% of Jeju Island's daily milk output as of 2024. It marks the birth of a "Giga Farm" in Korea, producing more than 10,000 tons of raw milk a year. Converted into 200 ml milk cartons, the daily output comes to roughly 160,000 cartons — enough to supply half of all first-grade elementary students nationwide.

Highest

Korea's most advanced dairy big-data platform

Highest

From 1,000 cows, NatureFarm collects and accumulates vast amounts of data in real time — milk yield, activity, reproduction, veterinary records, pedigree, and barn environment. This individual-level data is the finest in Korea in both quantity and quality, forming a solid foundation for developing dairy technology together with universities and research institutes.

Advanced

Cutting-edge dairy production with ICT, AI and robotics

Advanced

NatureFarm has brought cutting-edge technology to the field: a rotary milking parlor, ICT devices such as heat detectors, BCS meters and environmental sensors, a control system that manages them all at a glance, and even AI and robotics — including a robot dog that patrols the barns and a feed-pushing robot. It is transforming traditional dairying, once dependent on human experience and hands, into a state-of-the-art farm run on data and automation.
